In addition to leading OTL’s peacebuilding trips to Colombia, Alli also works as a Principal in an international school in Shenzhen, China. She has her Master’s of Education in International Education Policy & Management from Vanderbilt University, and extensive experience with international education development. Her work as human rights educator with Global Youth Connect in Bogotá and as a Peace Corps Education Volunteer in Cartagena have shaped her interest in access to quality education, not to mention her love of Colombia. Prior to entering the field of international education, Alli was a middle and high school Spanish teacher, and swim coach, in Texas and California.

Amanda is a freelance photographer and designer based in her home city, San Diego. She earned her B.A. in Art with an emphasis in photography and a Minor in Spanish Language from the University of Southern California in May 2017. She has worked on-and-off with Outside the Lens in different volunteer roles since 2011, as well as spent many years expanding her knowledge of digital media through classes, volunteer opportunities, internships and more. As an artist she is passionate about embracing her Colombian-Mexican roots and connecting with diverse communities in collaborative exploration of human experience.

Carly is a Media Educator at Outside the Lens. She was born and raised on Kauai and earned a B.A. in Marketing from the University of San Diego. Carly spent the past few years prior to joining Outside the Lens serving as an Agribusiness Advisor with the U.S. Peace Corps in Cameroon. Carly is passionate about exploring and appreciating the world, teaching, and utilizing photography and film as means to share stories.
